Hailing from Medellin and now based in Boston, Ra is a songwriter and vocal performer who has been shaped by a unique blend of influences, combining her classical training as a Soprano with a deep affinity for diverse genres such as rock, Colombian folkloric music, electronic music, and film scores. With a background rooted in her experiences as a Colombian woman, Ra's artistic ambition lies in harmoniously melding the storytelling and vocal techniques of opera with the emotive styles of other musical genres.

Ra's highly anticipated debut album, "The Llorona," serves as the centerpiece of a larger creative endeavor, sharing its name with a novel she's concurrently crafting. Through the album's intricate compositions, Ra embarks on a personal journey, encapsulating themes of self-discovery, love, fear, and transformation. Drawing inspiration from the Latin-American myth of the weeping woman, La Llorona, Ra's reinterpretation of this narrative breathes hope into its fabric.

Ra stands as a multidimensional artist with a strong academic foundation, having been honored with the Creative Entrepreneur Fellowship from the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston.
